Indian Head Massage is an ancient massage approach that has been around for centuries to calm the nervous system and release stress and tension. All whilst promoting hair growth and health. Indian head massage originated in India from an alternative medicine system called Ayurveda.  (translated as the ‘science of life’), whereby it is believed that the mind and body are intricately connected. This system believes that not only can it reduce stress and headaches, improve physical wellbeing, it can also improve mental and emotional wellness too. Traditionally Indian head massage was performed for family members to promote and encourage good physical and mental health. During a massage treatment the therapist my incorporate the shoulders where tension is often held and working on the upper back and around the shoulder blades. Using flowing motions the massage continues up the neck and into the scalp, with massage techniques that stretch and release the tense areas of the body. Acupressure points are massaged on the head, forehead and onto the face to relieve any unwanted tightness. There are many benefits to Indian head massage;
